Because I work from home now, I spend a lot of time in my condo. I have realized that in the two plus years I have been living here, I have accumulated A LOT of stuff. It isn’t a big place, and I even had shelving space added to my cupboards last summer, but as things go, I am running out of space.
The simple answer is, get rid of it…ALL OF IT! But that is easier said then done. My office has a lof of work related items in it. The funny thing is that when I had my cubicle at the office, where did I put all this stuff, because I had less space there than I have here, and I managed okay….simple rule, the more space you have, the more stuff you have to put in the space.
That would hold true to my closets. Considering I didn’t shop for that many clothes this fall/winter season (didn’t really need to, didn’t have to go to an office every day), at yet, the cupboards are FULL!!!
I know…I know…de clutter, get rid of what I haven’t worn in a year. It all sounds great in theory. I just need to put the theory to the test. The office is coming along, bags and bags to the garbage room. It is starting to make a difference.
The closet…well, another story….but that is a work in progress. If anyone gets a call from Diabetes or another organization about a clothes pick up, and you are in my area, let me know. I will be ready, if I have to be.
Why not drive your new car with all your cast offs to a Goodwill, Salvation Army or Value Village?
Reduce, Reuse… all your things WILL find a new home there.. and stay outta the garbage.
