Meghan Trainor may sing about it being all about the bass, which could be true for women, but for men, with the experiences I have had this past few days, I would say it is all about the socks.

Let me explain.

I was at Stitch it at Promenade on Sunday and there was a young man (thought he was 20 but he was 15) and he was having a suit tailored. While I was in the change room she was trying to explain to him about the cut of the pant and how it needs to be a bit shorter. She told him, “go out and buy a really cool pair of socks so when you sit down they show.” I don’t think he believed her, but it does appear to be the way it is. She was telling him she has clients that spend $18-$25 on a pair of socks.

I have a friend who travels often for business. He is active on social media and loves to post photos (food) and his sock photos. (all photos are with the permission of my friend).

It was further confirmed today at my office. I walked into one of the offices and my boss was sitting talking to my co-workers. He was wearing an attractive pair of socks with his suit. I commented on the socks and repeated my story from the weekend. He had a funny story to share about the suit he was wearing, and my comment was, “at least you have attractive socks on”.

So, it is not about the bass for men, it is clearly all about the socks.
