Evolution

I started my blog in 2009. I have always enjoyed being a story teller and sharing my travels, my silly stories of events with people in my life. I had never written them down before. I was in the airport in Toronto waiting to go to New Orleans. Because I was meeting B there, I was travelling alone. This was way before I owned a smart phone, so I was not “connected”. I was waiting at the gate and wished I had a notebook and pen so that I could at least make notes on thoughts, but nothing.

When I came back from the trip http://yyztravelgal.blogspot.com was born.

The writing was slow at first. Writing helps me get through the rough times. I was healing from my car accident, and then Shari got sick. The posts were consuming by her cancer battle, and then her bone marrow transplant battle. In between all of that, were great stories about my travel experiences and life in general.

I wanted to share my travel posts with my clients but they were intertwined with my personal stories, and I didn’t really want clients to know all about my personal stories, so I gave birth to another blog, my travel blog thestampsinmypassport. It was such a fitting name since I love getting stamps in my passport and feel so grateful for the travel experiences in my life that have allowed me to get many stamps in my passport.

Blogspot is a great first step for a first time blogger. But it is now time to move up to a blog forum, WordPress. So, here we are today. My new blog has landed! I am writing my first post on my new adventure – The Lisa Chronicles.

The Lisa Chronicles will continue to be the home for my personal stories (all posts have been moved over here for you to read if you haven’t already), thoughts and adventures in my life. I will also be focusing on growing the readership for my travel blog, which I have also now moved to WordPress. Please note that the new site address is http://thestampsinmypassport.wordpress.com

It is my hope that I can start to write more articles that may get noticed and published in any online forum to reach a larger reading audience. If you have any connections that would be looking for a person to contribute to an on line column, travel stories, personal growth stories, please let me know.

I do believe in putting things out into the universe and hopefully things will come back around.

Thank you for reading, and being part of my journey. I hope you will continue to read and share along with me.

Live your best life,

Lisa
